Powdercoating
The FM Surface Coatings powdercoating division was built to fulfil the need for a quality coating plant in the greater Waikato area that was fast and efficient. We offer a full range of interior and exterior finishes in both standard and architectural grades.
Powdercoating gives a durable and superior finish to your products and benefits include:

- Durability - chip and crack resistant, weather resistant and provides a tough, long lasting finish

A recent upgrade to our pre-treatment tanks mean we can now provide for those larger jobs in addition to small jobs lots. This total immersion pre-treatment allows for better protection when chromating or zinc phosphating prior to powdercoating.

Our large capacity in-line oven allows for the efficient coating of long and bulky material yet cost effective runs of small product. With our larger oven we can coat material up to 8m long.
Booth and Oven Capacity:
1.75 x 0.8 x 8m
We are continually investigating newer and more effective treatment methods in order to give ourselves a leading edge providing superior coatings that last on aluminium, steel, Duragalv, hot dip galvanization, stainless steel, and even copper. We coat material to high specifications, and employ external quality auditing to monitor the performance of our coatings.
In addition to daily testing, our pre-treatment system is monitored externally for efficiency and to help ensure we have a clean, professional process. Our oven is also tested externally to ensure the process is correctly baking powders. We also offer external testing of products for special orders and repetitive work, as this assists with maintaining the high quality of our processes and coatings for your products.
Colour Range
Powdercoating is available in a wide variety of colours that are suitable for different applications and purposes. We offer a standard range of colours called our Grade A colours at a competitive price plus an extensive range via our suppliers Dulux Powder and Industrial Coatings.

We can also give extra protection to steel, Duragalv, and hot dip galvanized material in the form of Zinc Shield.
After extensive research, we are now offering our Hi-Bond range for steel product that needs a coating with strength, flexibility, rust resistance and colour retention. This product is great for coating the likes of ride-on mowers, mulchers and product that is hot dip galvanised. As this is a made to order product we have limited colours in stock, but can make colours to order.
