Metal Processing
The founding Industry for Forlong & Maisey Ltd, in 1946, offered services to the Dairy Industry by way of tin plating brass pipes and milking machine parts.The chrome plating of car bumpers was also a large part of the Electro Plating Division, until the plastic bumpers of today's cars replaced these.
The Company is currently involved in a number of specialist areas of Metal Processing, which include: Powder Coating, Electro Galvanising, Electro Plating, and Metal Polishing.
Powder Coating
FM Surface Coatings Powder Coating facility offers a full range of interior and exterior finishes. Powder Coatings come in a range of vibrant colours including all architectural grades
Pre-treatment Tanks are:
1.5m deep x 0.44m wide x up to 6.9m long.
Booth and Oven Capacity:
1.75m high x 0.8m wide x up to 8m long.
Electro Galvanising
This Plant provides for the Galvanising of metals through its "in line" barrel facility, Bright Electro Zinc, and Blue, Gold, and Black Passivating.
Treatment Tanks can handle product:
3.6m long x 1.0m deep x 0.5m wide.
Electro Plating
An extensive range of processes are offered here, such as Restoration and Chrome Plating of Classic Vehicle Parts, Plating of Truck Wheels, and Decorative Silver and Copper Plating Finishes. We plate production material - the likes of motorbikes and plumbing parts.
Metal Polishing
A full range of metal polishing is available in our extensive polishing shop.
